Receiving is Better Than Giving
Last night, we had our office holiday gift exchange. I made out okay, although truthfully, I was a little disappointed. I think I was sort of expecting a car or something...clearly I was lost in my little "Price is Right" fantasy. But I scored the following:1. a spa kit from Secret Santa (good, aside from the fact that I go to salons because I'm too lazy to do anything myself)
2. a Victoria's Secret kit with a lot of shiny and smelly girl stuff (good)
3. a good bottle of Australian Shiraz, and a bottle of vintage Chardonnay from my boss (way to go, chief...yum)
4. some Benjamins in cash (not nearly enough, but I'll take it)
5. a silver necklace with a martini shaker charm on it (should i be reading into these gifts?)
6. the first season of "Designing Women" on DVD (a gag gift - I was sort of disappointed I didn't get "Bikini Biker Adventures" or "Gigli", like others in the office received)
All in all, a nice assortment...except for maybe the DVD. What the hell am I going to do with that?
