Brunettes Are The Best

You said it, not me. Our little weekly poll has closed today, and the winner - by a hair (pun intended) - is brunettes. They have defeated blondes, redheads, and all of the liars that said hair color didn't matter. (Just kidding, there is a point to be made with that, which I will make in a moment.)

This is probably the most interesting poll I've posted to date, if only because the results were so surprising. I would have (mistakenly) assumed that blondes are the winners, because from my one-sided, subjective point of view, I see far more flaxen-haired people running game than brown-haired people. Purely subjective, of course. Although now that I have grey hairs and have to hit the bottle anyway, I guess if blondes won, for me it'd just be a matter of changing hair colors, right? (Wrong, I think I would be a very ugly looking blonde.)

Redheads - congratulations. Two people voted for you in this poll, and I think that's pretty impressive. Not that I have anything against redheads, but I sort of figured that the color in general would lag behind brown and blonde because redheads are a minority. And an acquired taste, I believe. I do know that one of the people who voted for this category is a friend of mine who's currently dating a red-headed guy and wanted to support him, but her vote still counts. This is a democracy.

And for those of you who said it didn't matter - there is a point to be made. There are other features that are far more important than hair color, and from the little knowledge I've acquired in my lifetime, I know that confidence is key, and usually the #1 impetus for inspiring attraction. This is why you will always see the cockiest guy in the bar working the room - girls love a guy who knows what he wants. Guys love a girl who isn't self-conscious. Makes sense, right?

But I am just so glad that brunettes won out in this poll. Sorry, had to gloat.
