Okay, with help from Beth, and while discussing the difference between how men and women assess relationships from a chronological perspective, we managed to figure out the following. Feel free to provide feedback on this in the comments section (and bear in mind, timelines are approximate and not exact):The Male Mind and Attraction
Within 1 minute, he's decided whether or not he'd sleep with you.
Within 1 week of casual conversation, he's decided whether or not he'd ever ask you out on a date.
Within 1 month, he's decided whether or not this will be a more serious relationship or whether he's sleeping in your bed because he's lonely.
Within 1 year, he's decided whether or not he's going to be with you for the long haul, or he's going to cheat on your ass and drop you.
The Female Mind and Attraction
Within 1 minute, she's decided whether or not she's disgusted by you.
Within 1 week of casual conversation, she's decided whether or not she can stand your personality.
Within 1 month, she's decided whether or not you are friend material or someone she'd want to see naked...in broad daylight.
Within 1 year, she's decided whether she's going to spend the rest of her life with you and drive your future kids to soccer games. If not, you're getting dumped.
