I Got Game
Perhaps Spike Lee said it best when he said, "I got game." Or maybe he actually just made "He Got Game" and I am taking on my own interpretation? Potato pohtahtoh. But seriously, could this week and a half get any better? I've hobnobbed with musicians, had amazing NCAA Championship seats (for free), and been invited - three times over - to Braves Opening Day events.
Last Wednesday, my sister and I went to see Josh Kelley, the amazing singer-songwriter-guitarist, and also known as the real-life fiance of Katherine Heigl, my girl-crush Izzie from Grey's Anatomy. Upon arriving late to the Borders at which he was playing and accidentally letting the following slip out of my mouth: "F*ck. I busted ass from work and missed the entire set," Josh Kelley kindly introduced himself, offered himself up for an autograph, a hug, and some pictures, and promptly sat down and serenaded my sister and I (who, at this point, were two of maybe five people left) with an acoustic version of "Amazing". Ahem.
Tonight, I attended the unfortunately-resulted Final Four game between Florida and Ohio State (I love you Jamar), and while the team of my home state and many an ex-boyfriend resigned themselves to defeat, the net-net was still an amazing night, complete with a pre-party at CBS Sports and seats one row in front of Spike Lee, and six seats away from baseball legend Sandy Koufax. (I know it was six seats. I counted.)
Friday is one of my favorite days of the year - Braves Opening Day.
At the rate I'm going, I will be winning "America's Next Top Model" any day now...
