My Weekend

So, this past weekend, I returned to the old stomping grounds to hang out with the family, run some errands, and cause trouble.

Over the course of the three days I was home, the following occurred:

a. Ran into "an old friend" who I, quite honestly, dug for about two years. I always suspected that I would never really stop liking the guy, but in a fresh, validating twist of fate, found myself questioning why I had liked him when I saw him again. He's an okay person, and still smokin' hot, but it's funny what a little hindsight will do for you. Yikes.

b. Saw Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason...with my parents. (For more on Bridget, see post below.) It was a little strange watching the "racier" scenes nestled in between my mom and my dad in the theater, but since I couldn't go with my sister or Tim (my favorite movie partners), they had to do.

c. Inadvertently screwed things up with the aforementioned guy I actually liked. Ran into him (hey, there are only so many bars) -- while I was out with another guy. Proceeded to make drunken fool of myself. Drunken foolery documented by about 50 people at bar who somehow know me. I would regret it, but then if I regret it, he should regret f&$king things up with me because I'm a f&%king great girl. So there.

d. Heard profession of love from another, different ex. Was very nice, and quite flattered, aside from slight embarrassment that profession occurred in crowded bar and included phrase "I will always love you." (cue up Whitney Houston) Still don't really know what to do with this one. Complicated.

e. Bought new knee-high black boots. It's getting cold, and I tend to get a little down in wintertime, so developed healthy habit of buying new pair of knee-high leather boots. Knee-high leather boot count currently at 5 pairs and counting.
