Can Men and Women Be Friends? - A Ladder Perspective

This is not the last post on this topic, but it is definitely the first. I'd like to open the discussion with The Ladder Theory, as it is the one theory on this topic that I have found makes the most sense. I'd explain it, but it's easier to just read through it.

I personally believe that most of my failed relationships are attributed to the fact that regardless of circumstance, the magnitude of my ladder connection with the guy was disparate in my favor. (See Ladder Disparity). In other words, I'm great, and the guys suck. I like this theory very much.

At any rate, it makes complete sense. The guy who came up with this is intuitive, and obviously really articulate, but clearly has a little too much free time on his hands. And by a little, I mean entirely too much free time.
